General Information

Summer School for students who need to recover credits for failed courses will run June 2nd - June 20th. To register for summer classes click HERE.  Reach out to your student’s counselor for any questions.

Starting with the class of 2026 there are new Honor Diploma requirements. Click here to get more information. We will be meeting with all students interested in pursuing an Honors Diploma on May 8 during Extended Advisory to go over the new criteria.

College Corner

Interested in having your college tuition paid for by someone else?  Check out the Miami Work + Program, a great opportunity from Miami Regionals.

Sinclair Community College is partnering with the State of Ohio to provide the Choose Ohio First Scholarship for STEMM majors! Eligibility requires:

  • Ohio residency for 12 months or longer

  • Students must enroll in a qualified major at Sinclair Community College fall of 2025

  • CCP and Tech Prep students who completed credits while in high school are eligible to apply

  • This scholarship includes an internship/work-based learning experience requirement

The University of Cincinnati’s Upward Bound program is a free program that provides academic skills, social skills, mentoring, and motivation for participating 9-12th grade students to help them graduate from high school and then enroll in and complete post-secondary education. Senior Reminders

All school fees must be paid in order to walk at graduation. These can be paid on your student’s pay schools account. If you have any questions about your student’s fees please email Myia Engleman at mengleman@nwlsd.org 

Read through the Guide to Graduation 2025 to learn about details regarding: graduation rehearsal, the commencement ceremony, ordering graduation photos and more.

Senior Exams will be held on May 9th at 10am in room 223.  This is a change from what was previously sent out. Any senior who has a C average (70% or higher) in his/her second semester classes will be exempt from exams in those classes.

Testing

AP exams start the week of May 5. At this point you and your child should have received an email confirming the date, time, and location of each AP exam. This email also contains important information about the technology required for the AP exam. You will also receive a reminder email the day before the exam. The full AP exam schedule can be found here. AP fees are added to your student's PaySchools account and need to be paid by the end of the school year. Summer Enrichment/Volunteer

The Hamilton County Youth Employment Program provides jobs and year-round job readiness training for Hamilton County residents ages 14-21. They want to help young people in Hamilton County find work, explore careers and remove barriers to create a clear path to more education or a career. Click here for more information and to apply.

Graduation Requirements

For all students in the graduating class of 2023 and beyond the following criteria must be met in order for your child to earn their high school diploma.

  • Earn a minimum of 20 credits in specified subjects 

  • Take the required state tests, and earn a minimum score of a 684 on the Algebra I and English II exams

  • Earn 2 State Identified Seals
